Are there limits on the amount of furniture/household items a family may obtain?
This is largely dependent on the size of the household and the recommendations of the Social Worker. However, we do focus on the things they really need. It is not our intent to replace items they just want to upgrade.
How do clients arrange to get furniture?
Clients gain access to the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo through a social worker, or case worker, at an approved Social Service Agency.

What are your hours of operation?
Access to the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo for selecting furniture is by appointment only. Questions can be emailed to us at ffofc2015@gmail.com and we will make every effort to respond promptly.

How does a Social Service Agency become affiliated with the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo?
If a social service agency is interested in working with the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo, they just need to contact us (contact information is on the "Contact" page on this website). There is a simple application process and a short orientation.

Who is eligible for Furniture Foundation services?
Eligibility for Furniture Foundation services is determined by the authorized Social Service Agencies according to their eligibility requirements.

How do we get furniture for our home?
Furniture from the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo is only available through an approved Social Service Agency. You may ask your Case Worker or Social Worker to help you gain access.

Can you provide donors (furniture or money) with a tax deductible receipt?
Yes, the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo is an Internal Revenue Service designated 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and can provide you with a receipt for your donation of furniture or money.

How does the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo handle donations that are not taken by clients?
We make every effort to ensure the donations we receive are passed on to someone in need. If we are unable to find a client for your donation we will work with other charitable organizations to place the items.

Does the Furniture Foundation of the Conejo ever sell the donated furniture or household goods?
Our policy is to make every effort to place, with clients, all items we receive as donations.
If I donate furniture will you pick it up?
We will make every effort to get your donations picked up. Of course, it would be enormously helpful if you could have them delivered to us.
Do you take only furniture or do you also accept other household goods?
The greatest need is for basic pieces of furniture (tables, chairs, beds, chests of drawers, etc.), but we also happily accept smaller household items in good condition (i.e. lamps, dishes, flatware, linens, etc.)
